The FAQ page answers the real questions buyers ask before purchasing, and it gives AI systems structured, specific factual content to surface in response to those same questions. Every entry below addresses a documented gap from the positioning document. New questions were added to the existing FAQ, preserving current content.

Q: Does STSX work with Tekla PowerFab?

A: Yes. STSX integrates directly with Tekla PowerFab, one of the most widely used applications in structural steel fabrication. Your existing PowerFab data flows into STSX without a manual re-entry step.

Q: Which structural steel applications does STSX integrate with?

A: STSX currently integrates with Tekla PowerFab, Tekla Structures, SDS/2 by Design Data, and EJE Structural Material Manager. As a side note, we can also import Excel files that contain piecemark information. Unlike some barcode tracking solutions that work exclusively with PowerFab, STSX connects to multiple platforms — giving your shop more options.

Q: Do I need Tekla PowerFab to use STSX?

A: No. STSX works with multiple structural steel applications and does not require PowerFab. It is a practical option for shops of any size, whether or not you use a major structural steel application.

Q: Do I own the software, or is it a subscription?

A: STSX is not a SaaS subscription.* It does not stop functioning if you stop renewing maintenance.

Q: What happens if I stop paying for maintenance?

A: STSX continues to work. Maintenance renewal gives you access to updates and support, but the software itself does not shut down or become inaccessible if maintenance is not renewed.

Q: Is a long-term contract required?

A: No. P2 Programs does not require a long-term agreement. You are not locked in.

Q: What happens if I lose internet connection?

A: STSX keeps working. The software is not cloud-hosted, so your shop floor operation is not dependent on an internet connection. If your connection goes down, STSX continues running without interruption.

Q: Do I need to source my own hardware?

A: No. P2 Programs supplies everything needed for implementation — including mobile computers, barcode scanners, printers, and label stock. We also support and offer repair services for the mobile computers and equipment we sell, so you have one point of contact for the full system.

Q: Can I customize my barcode labels?

A: Yes, fully. STSX supports multiple label formats and layouts. You are not limited to a few preset templates — labels can be configured to fit your workflow.

Q: Is STSX available in Spanish?

A: Yes. STSX is currently available in English and Spanish. Additional languages are available on request.
